The North Carolina General Assembly created the Industrial Commission in 1929 to administer the state’s first Workers’ Compensation Act. Tailored to address the complex issues arising from workplace injuries and occupational diseases, the Act provides compensation to injured workers pursuant to the criteria set forth in Chapter 97 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

Cauley Pridgen, P.A. represents municipalities, employers and injured workers across the state to assist them in effectively resolving all claims brought before the Industrial Commission and appellate courts.

Administrative Law

Cauley Pridgen, P.A. has extensive experience practicing before State administrative agencies, State occupational licensing boards, the Office of Administrative Hearings and the Administrative Rules Review Commission. We have represented clients in diverse matters involving state regulatory agencies and occupational licensing boards such as the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the North Carolina Department of Labor, the North Carolina Department of Insurance, the North Carolina Division of Water Quality, the North Carolina Criminal Justice Standards Commission, the North Carolina Board for General Contractors, the North Carolina Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors, the North Carolina Board of Nursing, and the North Carolina Board of Barber Examiners.
